Several days ago, I picked up a great article, written by Weipeng LIU from MSRA. Weipeng has published several technical books about C++ and others. He is also a blogger since 2003.
The article was written in 2011, and is still intructive today. In this article, he expressed how difficult it is to recruit engineers, and how engineers should prepare for their future recruitment.
